Subject: [SurgeMail List] When Renewing letsencrypt on Windows
Date: Sat, 29 Jul 2017 16:19:01 +1000

Hi
I have the updating of letsencrypt running on my system.
Window Server 2012R2
SurgeMail Version 7.3d-5, Built Jun 14 2017 10:03:17, Platform Windows (Surgeweb Enabled)

When logging on the the server, sometime I have the following message in a Cmd window
======================================================
The global logger has been configured
Let's Encrypt (Simple Windows ACME Client)
Renewal Period: 60
Certificate Store: WebHosting
ACME Server: https://acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org/
Config Folder: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\letsencrypt-win-simple\htt
psacme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org
Certificate Folder: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\letsencrypt-win-simpl
e\httpsacme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org
Loading Signer from C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\letsencrypt-win-simpl
e\httpsacme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org\Signer
Error WebException {Status=Timeout, Response=null, Message="The operation has ti
med out", Data=[], InnerException=null, TargetSite=System.Net.WebResponse GetRes
ponse(), StackTrace="   at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
   at ACMESharp.AcmeClient.RequestHttpGet(Uri uri)
   at ACMESharp.AcmeClient.Init()
   at LetsEncrypt.ACME.Simple.Program.Main(String[] args)", HelpLink=null, Sourc
e="System", HResult=-2146233079}
Press enter to continue.
Here I press Enter
Would you like to start again? (y/n)
Here I press y, and the update completes
Loading Signer from C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\letsencrypt-win-simpl
e\httpsacme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org\Signer
Getting AcmeServerDirectory
======================================================
Do I need to do anything to stop this error, or just keep on doing what I have been doing.

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

I think what you are doing is fine. I guess it's suggesting an
intermittent network issue.

It's probably best to ask directly on the letsencrypt community page in
case it's a known issue:
